The Pret Foundation is the reason I joined Pret; as a customer, I knew of Pret giving food donations to shelters and a little about their work to support people experiencing homelessness. As an employee, I get to see the impact of this work first hand and it makes me very proud to work for Pret. (And do a little bit to help raise funds for the cause too!) It really is the heart of Pret. 

What the charitable arms does:

- 650+ Rising Stars supported so far through the employment programme - offered additional training, counselling and financial support, to grow in their career at Pret and break the cycle of homelessness;

- 250+ Ukrainian refugees supported - with jobs, additional financial support, English tuition, and counselling / community support groups

- Food donations to charities and shelters to reduce hunger.

Donations help Pret to increase it's support for people experiencing hunger, poverty and homelessness.

50% of the net proceeds of the event will be donated to The Pret Foundation who tackle hunger, poverty and homelessness in communities local to Pret shops around the world. Pret makes sure Pret’s freshly made unsold food reaches people who need it most, offer financial support to grassroots charities and help to break the cycle of homelessness by providing training and employment opportunities at Pret through their Rising Stars programme. The 50% balance of net proceeds will go to The Lord Mayor's Appeal and its beneficiary charities, some of which focus on mental health issues which are often one of the main causes of homelessness.
