Trek26 Brecon Beacons - 13 miles (Sunday) · 5 September 2021 ·

Journey through a spectacular area of wild moorland, tumbling waterfalls and sweeping mountain slopes in the Brecon Beacons. Trek for loved ones, and raise money so together we can find a cure.

Story

Since lockdown, the furthest I usually walk is from the couch to the fridge! It’s safe to say I am no athlete but I am determined to complete the Trek26 Brecon Beacons challenge! 13 miles through wild moorland and over mountain slopes, I trek for everyone affected by dementia to raise money so together we can find a cure.

Having only joined the Older Adults Community Mental Health Team in March, I am the newest member of the crew! I work alongside the Memory Assessment Service Team who support patients and their families with dementia through assessments, diagnosis, treatments and beyond.

We walk in support of the fight against dementia and in memory of those who have passed with this horrible illness. We walk in support of no stigma, better services and in the hope of a cure. We are the MAS team.
