Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We have decided to run 10k, firstly for charity, secondly to get off our fat backsides! We've hoovered out our trainers and dusted off our shorts ready to run on 11th July in the British 10k for FSID (Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths).
What is FSID?
FSID are one of the UK's leading charities devoted to
preventing baby
deaths. They endlessly research and campaign for the cause of baby
deaths
and aim to reduce fatalities and raise awareness.
Did you know:
• On
average, 10 babies die suddenly and unexpectedly every week in the UK.
•
Cot death claims the lives of more babies than meningitis, all forms of
cancer and accidents put together.
• Over 19,000 lives have been
saved since 1991 as a result of FSID’s health advice.
What are FSID doing to help?
• Funding research.• Supporting families whose babies have died suddenly and unexpectedly.
• Disseminating information on infant health, baby care and sudden infant deaths to health professionals and the general public.
• Working with professionals to improve investigations when a baby dies.
We are hoping to raise £300.00 between us for the charity so all donations no matter how small will help to contribute to the amazing work FSID undertake. Also don't forget that Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks in advance for any donations you can give
