Story
Rowing is hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. It’s the hard that makes it great. I have been rowing at University for the past 4 years, and I am now taking on the ultimate challenge of rowing a marathon (42195m). I have been training for the marathon over the past 5 months, and I have been working hard for 10 hours a week to prepare for the event. I will be completing the marathon row on the last weekend of August, and it will take between 4 and 5 hours to complete.
During the row there will be pain, sweat, tears, adrenaline, and emotion; but at the end there will be pride in the accomplishment, as I will be putting my self through a marathon for a good cause.
The marathon aims to raise £450 (enough to equip a lifeguard for a year). The RNLI’s Lifeguards provide a lifeguard service on 92 beaches across the South West.To find out more about their work see, http://rnli.org/aboutus/aboutthernli/Pages/Our-purpose.aspx
Please make my marathon row worthwhile, and donate to the cause.
