Hi, 

My dad is a young sufferer of Alzheimer's, he was diagnosed when he was 50.  The illness causes a lot of changes in the person which are extremely difficult for both them and their families t deal with.  

I moved to brisbane and left my dad and family in the uk which was a very hard decision because of what is happening with my dad, i don't see the daily changes so it's hard when i hear that its worsening, however not as hard as it is for my family back home who have to see it daily, and of course my dad who remains the as fabulous as ever!

That is why i want to do this run for the alzheimers society. they provide a release for both the sufferer and their family. I also want more funding to go towards providing more units for young sufferers. I worked in aged care for a while and have seen that they are not geared up fully for young sufferers and this is something i'd really like to see improve.  

So please support my cause for all the fabulous people like my dad and family who have to deal with the shittyness that is Alzheimers.
