Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.

Ok so what happens during these screenings that I am raising money to fund... The basic test in an electrocardiogram (ECG) which is a simple non-invasive and painless test that examines the electrical activity within your heart. This electrical rhythm is then recorded and printed out and this ECG printout is then reviewed by a doctor.

On a personal note...

In 2004 my boyfirend and close friends were playing in an under 15's rugby game in Haselmere when their team mate, fellow school mate and great friend Seb English died suddenly. Exactly the same tragically happened to Seb's father a decade earlier aged just 32 and was also playing rugby at the time.

Seb's fathers death was wrongly diagnosed and his family were told his condition was not inheritable but a one-off. Seb died of arrhymogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) which he unknowingly inherited from his father.

As a result of this tragic loss my boyfriend and his best friends formed the 'CRY Crusaders' - a unique 7's rugby team based in Surrey. They have played in tournaments across the country during the summer to help raise money and awareness for this brilliant charity.

Now its my turn!!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and any donations are very much appriciated.
