Sara-Anne Walks Snowdon in time for Sunrise
I would like to raise money for the specialist Liver Wards at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, located in Birmingham (QEHB). To do this, I have signed up to complete the Sunrise Snowdon Walk, on 22nd – 23rd May 2021
Mount Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales, and stands at an elevation of 1085 metres (3560 ft). I will set off in the early hours, walk the Llanberis Path to the summit in time for sunrise.
My motivation for this event is my father, David. My father had hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) and was a palliative care patient, on the Liver Wards 727 and 726, before moving to a Hospice. My father passed away peacefully on the 16th December 2019. It is with this in mind, that I would like to raise as much money as I can, for these wards and their patients.
The QEHB is one of the largest hospitals in the UK, which provides medical care for patients with liver disease and liver cancer. The Liver Ward is recognised nationally and internationally for its state of the art clinical services and medical research in association with the Liver Foundation.
Sponsoring me through this JustGiving page is really simple and secure. All of your donation, JustGiving will go directly to the Liver Wards at QEHB. I would like to take this opportunity to strongly urge you to consider donating and sponsoring my walk.
