I have come together with the family and friends of the late Nazir Awan and joined forces with Human Appeal UK to raise funds to construct an entire school in the deprived and rural area of Bhimber in Kashmir, which will educate orphan and underprivileged children. Nazir Awan was a firm believer in the importance of
education being a means of lifting children out of poverty and this project would make him so proud.

The funds we raise will include the construction of the following:

• Kindergarten to middle school 4 -14 years
• 350 students
• 10 classrooms
• Principal office
• Staff room
• Finance office
• 15 teachers
• 1 principle
• 2 admin staff
• 1 finance officer
• 10 toilets 
• 2 storey building (with potential to build a third floor)
• Approx 16200 square feet of land 

The running costs for the school for the first year including the education of 350 students (with a quota of around 10% orphans). We are hoping to find generous friends and family who will help keep alive the legacy of the late Haji Nazir Awan. The entire cost of the school is £140,000. Together we can do this.

How can you help?

• We need 13 donors to give £5000 for the construction of the classrooms, principal room, staff room and finance office.
• We need 350 donors to sponsor a child for an entire year for £200.
• We need 300 people to donate £100 each towards furniture and materials.
