Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know, devastatingly, our lovely dad passed away earlier in the year due to complications with an infection.

It took hold rapidly, and unlike those of us with two kidneys, somebody like my dad with only one (which my brother Luke so selflessly donated back in March 2010💙), has to fight so much harder.

Unfortunately for my dad, his body just wasn’t strong enough to withstand the onslaught of more drugs and procedures, and lost his battle on January 11th.

As we say our final farewell’s on Tuesday March 2nd, family and friends have asked  where to send floral tributes and gifts etc to celebrate dad’s life.

As lovely as this would be, we feel donations towards a small charity called ‘The Kidney Fund’, which was attached to St Helier hospital where dad underwent his transplant, would be more fitting.

Because of The Kidney Fund, they, alongside our brother, made it possible for us to have 10 more wonderful memory filled years with dad, for which ‘Thank You’ never quite seems enough.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for the many ways you’ve already supported us as a family, and in helping us raise some much needed funds for research into the elimination of Kidney disease. Dad would have been so touched ❤️

Please don’t feel obliged to donate but, any spare change will make a huge difference to families like ours.

With Love, Thanks and Best Wishes

Ian, Sara, Luke  & Glen xxxx
