Story
I was diagnosed with a fairly rare pituitary condition and tumour earlier in the year and thanks to a great endocrinologist in Kingston, and an amazing neurosurgical team at St George’s, Tooting, the little blighter was successfully removed at the end of May.
I wasn’t planning to raise any sponsorship (the Cabbage Patch run was set as a personal challenge in a vain attempt to help get my middle aged fitness back to pre op levels) but, as the run gets closer, I figure that if I raise even a small amount for this neuro appeal then that’s a bonus. The work they do saves lives and the treatment and care I, and others, receive is outstanding.
