Story
On 12th April 2015, I will be running the Brighton Marathon in memory of my amazing brother, Paul Sheridan. With every step in training, I hope I can make him proud.
Paul died suddenly in April 2014 of ARVC. He was, and will always be an amazing brother, husband, son, father and friend. He will always be remembered for being an avid sportsman - in his 34 years he ran 7 marathons in London, Dublin, Berlin and New York. I always joked with him that even though I was competitive with him as a child, I would never be able to commit myself to a full marathon as an adult. However, running the marathon in April will mark a year since losing him, and a year of trying to live up to his memory.
As a family, we hope to raise awareness of sudden cardiac death in the young with support from the charity CRY. We also want to raise £10,000 in memory of Paul, in the hope that we can fund testing and protect the lives of other young healthy people.
