Hey!
As many of you might have experienced, deciding to live abroad brings a strange sense of responsibility for the people we leave behind.
For me, studying in London has involved not being able to support my grandpa, who has dementia, in everyday life. Running the London Marathon for Alzheimer Research UK is a way of contributing, in my own small way, to support everyone affected by dementia and their loved ones.
I hope that advancements in research will provide answers to this heartbreaking disease, making life better for future generations.
Running brought me very out of my comfort zone, but I am really doing my best.
Ah, yes, money goes directly to support Alzheimer Research UK, the UK's leading dementia research charity!

Tra poche settimane correrò la Maratona di Londra per sostenere le persone affette da demenza e le loro famiglie.
Qualche anno fa mi sono trasferita all'estero per studiare, questo ha significato lasciare un mio caro affetto da questa malattia. Dato che non posso essergli vicino nella quotidianità, raccogliere fondi per la ricerca sull'Alzheimer è un modo per supportarlo nel combattere questa battaglia.
Trovare soluzioni a questa malattia non è facile, ma è possible.
Correre non è il mio hobby preferito, ma sto davvero facendo del mio meglio.
Ah, i soldi vanno direttamente a sostenere la ricerca sull'Alzheimer!
