Story
My friend Jamie suddenly and unexpectedly lost her beautiful baby girl, Lyle, when she was 22 days old. I met Lyle and her twin sister, Alba, when they were just a few days old and in those precious moments my heart melted!
I was heartbroken to hear that Lyle had died. Her loss has had such a huge impact on so many lives, especially Jamie and her family. They have had incredible support from SANDS Lothians and Jamie has told me about all the important work they do for other bereaved families.
However, there is limited support for bereaved siblings.
Jamie and her family have set up a fund through SANDS Lothians called Lyle's Light to support bereaved siblings. Lyle has two Sisters, Alba and Cameron who is 5 years old.
Jamie and her family have already raised a lot of money for Sands Lothians. Their strength in the darkest point of their lives amazes me! I want to support them any way I can and that is why it didn't take much persuasion for me to sign up to run the Falkirk Epic Trail 10km with Jamie and her friends.
I started running again from nothing after an Achilles injury. I am no athlete and I am slow but it has been really good fun. I am actually looking forward to running in a slushy, muddy, cold country park in the depth of Winter...total madness!
Anyway, thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please donate generously. Any money raised from this event will be used by Lyle's Light to support bereaved siblings.
