You can read below to understand about the charity but I want to explain “my WHY” to you all…. 

My whole family moved to Florida from New York when I was born. We have a huge Italian family and always had big events and had a great bond. Unfortunately,  I experienced the loss of loved ones and major heartbreak  at an early age. 

My grandmother passed away due to breast cancer after having her mastectomy at just the age of 60. I lost my uncle and aunt to cancer as well, both under 41 years old all within a few years apart. The pain & heart break I saw my family go through is something I would never wish upon anyone. 

My aunt Maureen”MoMo” was my role model, favorite person in the world. Cancer took her life & that changed my entire perspective on life when I was just a teenager. Just because you love someone so much doesn’t mean it is not their time to go. I found faith and really tried to trust that God has a plan and purpose for everyone of us on earth.

As I grew up as a go getter (inspired by MoMo) I became a realtor and marketing genius (as others quote lol). A few years into my career, I realized I was not fulfilled by just “making an income for myself”.. I wanted more . 

I have been going to these Breast Cancer Charity events for 8 years and I finally had the courage to take the next step and join the board!  I was able to utilize my network of realtors, entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, friends & family and raised almost $17k my first year. I am back for more . Knowing where the money is going makes me so honored to be apart of this beautiful charity . I found a purpose; to help others . 

Tammy, the founder of Glam-a-thon had breast cancer in her 30s and made a deal with the universe that if she survives, she will use everything in her power to help others going through this horrible disease . As she has been doing amazingly !! 

So, with that being said, I am here to help! So please donate & come celebrate with sass and glam on Friday September 10th @ 8 pm at the Gallery of Amazing Things in FTL.  You can read below for more details on the non- profit organization. :)

Glam-A-THON is South Floridas most outrageous and fashionable breast cancer charity. Dedicated to helping the patients of the Memorial Regional Hospital, by raising funds that directly support their well-being and quality of life, we can make a significant difference in treatment outcomes!

We have placed our focus on spreading the mammogram message; and are calling on individuals and the South Florida business community to help make a difference in the lives of those battling breast cancer. As an entirely volunteer organization, we rely heavily on the generosity of the local community and would greatly appreciate your support.
