Story

Sandy Island Campers, Alumni, and Friends: 

The annual fundraising campaign's big push has moved from fall to spring! As the staff team prepares to launch for summer 2022, we could truly benefit from your generosity. Donations to camps annual fund support camper scholarships, facility maintenance projects and facility care, and program supplies. Each year, especially with Covid, the needs continue to grow which is why your support means so much to us. To designate your gift to a certain area of giving within the Annual Fund, please include in the "message box" when you make your gift, the following:

-Sandy Island Camp Improvement (SCIF) - supports facility and maintenance care on Sandy 

-Area of Greatest Need

-Scholarships for All

Gifts made by June 1st will be matched dollar for dollar for the first $20,000 - so please consider doubling your impact by giving today!

Did you know...

$25 – Covers the cost of a new life jacket to ensure safety around our gorgeous waters

$50 – Funds Rapid Covid Tests for 10 people, keeping our community safe and healthy

$100 – Helps buy tie-dye supplies for one week on Sandy

$150 – Supports life guard training supplies for a new staff member ensuring our staff is fully prepared for all water emergencies

$225 – Sponsors an adult to experience Sandy Island on Labor Day Weekend

$250 – Pays for supplies for crafts at the Little Red School House for a week

$500 – Gifts a staff appreciation dinner for our entire staff

$850-  Sponsors a Senior Camper on a fixed income to come to Sandy for respite

$925 – Supports a full scholarship for a deserving child to participate in our Counselors in Training Program at North Woods and Pleasant Valley, preparing them to take on a leadership role working for one of our camps in the future.

$1,500 – Funds paint supplies for 3-5 cabins or buildings on Sandy

$2,000 – Supports a full scholarship for a deserving child at one of our kids camps OR a family of 5 to attend North Woods Pleasant Valley Family Camp Week

$3,525 – Supports a full scholarship for a deserving child to gain leadership development skills in our Leaders in Training Program at North Woods and Pleasant Valley OR Scholarships a family of four to experience the magic of Sandy Island Family Camp

$5,000+–  Helps fund our camp-wide maintenance efforts including but not limited to fixing cabins, decking and railings, clearing paths and trees, and making camp safer for campers with mobility challenges.
