Story
At YMCA DownsLink Group we work tirelessly to ensure that young people do not become street homeless. 44 is the average age of death for someone experiencing homelessness. We work tirelessly to prevent vulnerable young people (16-24) facing difficulties from becoming part of this terrible statistic. Join The 44 Challenge and help us change lives. We step in to look after young people (16-24) when they are vulnerable and facing difficulties in their life. Our services prevent youth homelessness, create positive change, and give young people the skills & support they need to lead full, independent lives. By taking part in the 44 Challenge and fundraising for us, you will help change young peoples lives. Together we can prevent any young person from a life half lived.
I work at YMCADLG Brighton Youth Advice Centre (Brighton YAC) as the Senior family support mediator. I'm 64 & unfit so time to get out and do something physical for our homeless. So I am going to start running, walking or crawling a minimum of 4.4 kilometres a day for 44 days in a row. So please help me raise £440 to help those truly need our help.
