Story

10th and final marathon now complete in Inverness on Oct 3rd 2010. 4 hours and 29 mins. I am glad it is all over and actually enjoyed it on some occassions. A big thank you to all the people who have donated to my charity, to those of you who helped me with the 3 marathons in Irvine/Ayr and finally to Sandra and the boys for all their support over the last 10 months.

On behalf of my brother Billy, sister Sharon and our mother Anna, thank you all for the support of the charity that is close to our family

That's #9 complete in Elgin, really nice part of the world, one of the best marathon runs let down by no water after mile 22!!! One to go Oct 3rd bring it on

Marathon number 8 complete on 29th Aug in Fleetwood nr Blackpool, 40 mph headwinds for last 10 miles made a very difficult race. Finished in 4 hrs 45 mins, which I was disapointed with but, given the conditions it was OK. One week rest till number 9, Elgin on 5th Sept

That's marathon number 7 complete, thanks to Billy, Sharon and Connor who ran with me. Also to Sandra who was my support team. Time was 4.49, getting slower and slower but still finishing...............

Well that's 5 marathons complete in 9 weeks and I can tell you each one is getting more and more difficult. Thanks to Joe, Ann, Willie, Gillian, Sharon and Connor (and wee Cole) who all helped me through Saturday's run, don't think I would have finished it if they were not there. Also thanks to Sandra who was the food and drink support during the day. PS time was 4hrs 34mins. 5 more to go, definately mind over matter here on in!!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running 10 marathons in 6 months in 2010 for Macmillan Cancer Support charity. Why am I doing this? Well I lost my dad to cancer 3 years ago and I don't want anyone else going through the pain that he went through.

If I can do a little to help comfort someone via Macmillan then it will be all worthwhile.

My first marathon is in Blackpool on 11th April 2010 and the last one is in Inverness on 3rd Oct 2010. I hope you can support me by donating each time I complete one of the marathons.

I am also looking for support on transport, accomodation and kit so if you know anyone who lives in these towns and give me a bed for the night please get them to contact me at Bsandybell251@hotmail.com
