Sandra passed away on 2nd November 2011 after losing her battle with Breast Cancer and we are kindly asking for donations in her memory.

 

Above & Beyond is the local charity that raises funds for all Bristol's nine central hospitals. It invests in projects that provide gold-standard care and make a real difference to some half a million people of all ages and with all health conditions from across the South West that are treated in Bristol's central hospitals each year.

 

 

The charity's CaRE (Chemotherapy & Radiotherapy Environment) Appeal was launched in September 2009. The Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre (BHOC) has already been transformed thanks to the success of the appeal, ensuring Sandra herself received excellent care in a modern, caring environment as well as making a real difference to the 1,000 patients, visitors and staff that walk through its doors every day.

 

Sandra had already helped raise funds for Above & Beyond - arranging a Mad Hatter's Tea Party and duplicate bridge day in May 2011as part of her husband Phil's campaign to support it in his role as Chairman of the Bristol Bridge Club. This and other activity done through the club has raised over £2,500 to date. We would love to raise more in Sandra's memory and support Above & Beyond further to help even more patients and their families through difficult times and receive the best possible care.
