Here we go! I am putting on my running shoes and running a marathon next April. The London Marathon is not a small challenge and despite the fact that I never thought that running was part of my destiny in any way, I am doing it and I am terrified! I am also so excited and already starting to dream of crossing the finish line in aid of The British Heart Foundation.
When my beautiful boy Max was 3 years old, he had to undergo heart surgery which has saved his life, this was due to a rare heart condition that gave him a small chance of survival beyond 4 years old. Thanks to the fantastic doctors at Southampton Hospital, he is now 100% healthy and it has been amazing to see him grow and become such a kind, fun loving boy.
The British Heart Foundation has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK, but sadly everyday hundreds of people lose their lives. It’s only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.
I would be so grateful for your support!
