The 16th of June 2010 will be the 20th anniversary of losing our mum Robina Thomson. In September I will be 55, the same age Mum was when she died. As a new grandparent it feels that the saddest part is that she hasn't been there to see her grandchildren grow up, to celebrate those special birthdays, engagements, weddings, new arrivals, and all the other ordinary days we take for granted. My sister Alison suggested doing something to mark the anniversary, and in doing so we will be raising funds for Breast Cancer Campaign and for The Ardgowan Hospice in Greenock. 

We're planning to walk the West Highland Way - 96miles from Milngavie to Fort William - between the 9th and 16th June and there will also be a Charity Auction to follow at the Royal Gourock Yacht Club on the 3rd July.
