We offer expert care, guidance and support to people living with a terminal illness

Story

Help Marie Curie Nurses care for more terminally ill people and their families.

We are taking part in Walk Ten 2013 at Dalkeith Country Estate to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. We are doing this in memory of Sue's mum - MARGARET MCINTOSH who sadly died last August.

Please sponsor us and help Marie Curie Nurses provide free care to more people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes or in one of their hospices across the UK.

£20 provides 1 hour of Marie Curie nursing care, but whatever you can give will help terminally ill people and their families when they need it most.

Thank you for your support.

Thank you dear friends for all your support for the walk!

Sue, Mairi & myself had a great night! It was perfect walking weather – dry & cool with a bit of a wind to keep the midges away!! The walk round Dalkeith Country Park was mainly on the flat – great!! It was picturesque & lovely in the fading light. We managed the 10km in just  1 hour & 45 mins!! with Mairi setting a fast pace & keeping us at it the whole time! It was really dark when we finished & there was great live music & a fantastic firework display at 10pm at the time when Marie Curie nurses go on shift. There was a great atmosphere & a real family feel with most staying for a picnic in the dark!!
