Story

Anyone who knows me knows I am a wee gutsy with food and I love my wine, I have lost weight, gained weight, got fitter been lazy. I am doing the Wee Red Dress Challenge at Callachans in Ayrshire over a six week period starting Monday the 18th March. It involves training, clean eating and a new lifestyle approach.

Here is why:

I first met Jayne Donald through work at Arnold Clark in October 2010, Jayne was a graduate accountant and I was her training buddy. Jayne was one of the most bubbly people I have ever met and we hit it off. We shared similar stories and certain interests and we had a great laugh. Jayne was also planning her wedding to the love of her life and soul mate Keith Donald for 2011 it was a happy time. Also at this time Jayne's potential was realised and she was promoted to branch accountant, it was all good.

In June 2011, 4 weeks before their wedding Keith was diagnosed with cancer. He had been suffering from certain symptoms for a while which had now become problematic and was affecting his day to day life. From day one of the diagnosis Jayne and Keith carried on as normal to the outside world, Keith went back to work that day as did Jayne but inside they were in turmoil. They got married on the 16th of July and went on their planned honeymoon to Vegas.

Throughout his treatment, Superman as Keith was now christened continued to work full time, cook amazing curries and put up with our Jaynee haha. Jayne continued to work full time, be her kooky self and put up with me haha.

Now comes the heartbreaking part of this challenge. Keith is now terminal and has months to live. Jayne has continued to work full time  and be happy and Superman has continued to be, well Superman.

I am taking this challenge to pay tribute to them both and share their story with you and share their strength. Your donations will support an amazing charity who are currently caring for Keith and supporting them both.

Please donate as much as you can afford every pound makes all the difference. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
