Story
Well it has been five hours since I completed the run and I feel like I have been run over by a bus!!
My day started at 7am when I woke up in a hotel room in Birmingham having spent the previous evening at the Spandua Ballet concert at the NEC. You wouldn't begin to believe the restraint I demonstrated by not getting absolutely bladdered last night and for those of you who know what it is like to go drinking with Alison will understand what I mean! So feeling a little nervous I set I off for London at 745, I'm not sure if any professional runner would agree that sitting in a car for two hours prior to a run is a good idea.
Getting to the point, I completed the race in 90 minutes! This is the pace I was running during my training but I honestly thought the hills would slow me down and possibly add another 10 minutes. All in all I am delighted with my time and that I managed to finish it, although I don't think my toes will ever be the same again.
Thank you all for your kind donations I know every penny makes such a difference to WaterAid.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It seems like only yesterday when I was sitting at my desk and got an email about the Ricky Road Run, the annual 15k run organised by staff at Three Valleys Water and I thought that would be a good idea, raise some money for charity, get fit etc. etc. Some four months later I am thinking what have I done! Not only have I got to run 15k but the course is very, very hilly! That is me getting my excuses in now for a really slow time.
So to get to the point, I am running 15K next Sunday in aid of Water Aid.
WaterAid works in 17 countries providing water, sanitation and hygiene education to some of the world's poorest people. Please give whatever you can to help this really worthwhile charity, even the smallest donation can make a real difference.
For those of you who have had to endure the trials and tribulations of my training plan.... the end is nigh!!!
Thanks Sandra xx
