My story ( really it's my sister's story ) began early in 2011 when my sister Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer.

This news was more of a shock because she had no symptoms, no lumps, no nothing.  She had been called in for a routine mammogram as she was approaching her 50th birthday.

Over the last two years she has gone through a masectomy and  reconstruction surgery, which, thank god, has so far been successful and now nearly complete.

She has had her ups and downs but she has had fantastic medical care and support throughout these trying times.

I am attempting this madness because of Kim and along with my big sister, Lorraine, we hope to raise lots of money for the charities involved which are all so important in the work they do for womens cancers.
