Story
When I was at college a close friend of mine committed suicide, she was a beautiful soul. She was forced into marrying someone that she was not in love with and the man she wanted to be with was brutally forced out of her life. The pressure this had on her mental health was soul destroying, she could not cope with the cultural demands and sadly ended her life.
More recently I have connected with many people through my domestic violence charity, that are still stuck in or have come out of domestic violence relationships. When you are survivor of such circumstances it can have such a huge mental health impact on you, one can become incredibly suppressed, so manipulated that they don't even know what the truth is anymore, so anxious that they cannot even leave the front door, so scared that even the quietest noises make them jump and so depressed that that have lost sight of the beauty within this universe.
Charity organisations such as MIND truly create a portal for people especially of our culture to be able reach out with mental health issues and provide a safe, support system for them to come out even stronger than before.
Please help by donating by using my Just Giving link so that charities such as MIND are there to let people know that there is a way out and that suicide is not the answer.
