Sanctuary Wheels
Campaign by Active Oxfordshire (RCN 1179040)
Sanctuary Wheels will provide free, refurbished bikes & tuition for hundreds of refugees across Oxfordshire. These bikes will help refugees to get to know their new homes, access essential services and settle into their communities.

Story

I am a Type 1 late onset Diabetic so 192 miles is a big challenge for me. It will be full of ups and downs- in all senses.

What will drive me on is that I can raise some money to provide bikes to all Refugees who have come to Oxfordshire including recently arrived Ukrainians fleeing from the war there.

Wheels will provide them with fun and the ability to travel as well as a welcome to the County. The bikes are recycled and gifts from the people of Oxfordshire but the money raised will help provide helmets, lights, locks and tuition to ensure safety and confidence.  .
