Story
Hi everyone!
Whether you know me as Lazy Masquerade or just plain old Sam, I'm here to ask for your sponsorship. Next year I'll be running the Brighton Marathon in support of Teenage Cancer Trust, and it would mean the world to me and so many others if you would consider leaving a donation.
I've never done anything like this before, so I'll be training from now until the big day... 26.2 miles is a heck of a run! But I won't be the only thing going a long way - so will your money!!! Your donation will help to support young people fighting cancer across the UK by providing them with world-class services.
Cancer is a vile thing that no person should ever have to deal with alone, especially during their teenage years. The specialised cancer units funded and created by TCT go a long way in helping to mitigate feelings of isolation by providing patients with a home-away-from-home. Their specially trained nurses and co-ordinators (who know what it's like to deal with cancer at such a vulnerable age) offer invaluable medical and emotional support. In short, the charity not only improves the lives of young people dealing with the disease, but also their chances of survival. Anything you can give would be appreciated.
If you would like to know more about TCT and what they do, here's a link for your convenience: https://www.teenagecancertrust.org
Thank you so much for reading this far, and for your consideration. Time to get my running shoes on :)
