The brain is the most complex organ in our body. It controls our emotions, senses and actions. So when it breaks down, we break down. We fund the best research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected. Let’s unite to accelerate progress. Today.

Story

Thank you for popping over to my modest fundraising page. Whilst I appreciate you will see a lot of these in the coming months, please take a minute to consider donating to this great charity.

There are currently 850,000 people in the UK with Alzheimers and sadly my Grandad is one of them. I have been able to see his deterioration and can only imagine how hard it must have been for his wife, my Nan. He has long since forgotten my name, and there may come a time when he forgets hers; this is such a truly sad thought and I want to do the little I can to stop this process continuing to affect families around the world. The Brain Research Trust is working so hard to cure this disease and we have seen amazing steps taken already. Whilst the money I raise, that you kindly give, may not cure Alzheimers, it will certainly help.

I am only a small player in the amazing Atlantic Castaways team. As I'm writing this, my flatmate Jack is only 100 nautical miles from completing his row across the atlantic. If he can row the atlantic, I can run 26 miles. Thank you.
