Story
Sam loves the NI Children’s Hospice and appreciates everything they do for him. He is spoilt rotten when he stays and enjoys his time with his wee friends and all the amazing staff.
During this pandemic Sam’s mobility has suffered and unfortunately he’s not as independent on his feet as he has been in the past, for many reasons.
Like Captain Sir Tom Moore, Sam would like to push himself and try his very best for the place that he loves. Over the weekend of the 30th April to 3rd May, Sam is determined to walk at least 100 steps each day in his new paedo boots which he got today. They will hopefully give him the support to carry out his challenge and raise money for the NI Children’s Hospice. All he is asking is that you support him by donating and sharing his challenge far and wide. We will keep you updated with pictures and videos.
The only service of its kind in NI, Children's Hospice cares for over 370 babies, children and young people each year at our dedicated Children's in-patient unit - Horizon House and in our local communities through our Specialist Community Nursing Team. Our work also extends to families, supporting them from the point of diagnosis right through to the grieving period after bereavement. We receive a small amount of government funding, so we rely on the generosity of our local community to help us to continue to deliver our vital service.
