Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing the marathon in 2022 NOT 2021 as the page would suggest. Explanation below.

I was meant to be doing this in 2021 but deferred it to this year (2022) due to injuries and COVID worries! I'm currently training for it and have gotten up to 30km for training runs. I'm doing the marathon on the 9th October and my target time is sub 4hrs (although just getting round will be an achievement).

The recent healthcare crisis has made it even more clear how important charitable organisations like Marie Curie are, so I want to do my part and raise some funds for them! They rely on donations for 2/3rds of their income, so fundraisers like this are vital in ensuring those who need palliative care get it.

Check back here to see my training progress on Strava!! It's a great app that allows you to keep track or your runs. If you have it, feel free to give me a follow.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks so much for your support, I'm very grateful to all those who have donated.
