Fundraising for Plan International UK
Fundraising for Plan International UK
A thousand thank you's for visiting my fundraising page!
I am raising funds for Plan who is an award winning children’s charity (see www.intelligentgiving.com for further information).
Plan works in 62 countries on projects and initiatives that address the causes of poverty and its consequences for children's lives.
Please be generous and sponsor me online and make a difference to the lives of kids less fortunate than ourselves.
So Why Sponsor Me?
Well, I am attempting to cycle from Saigon () in Vietnam to Angkor Wat in Cambodia. This challenge entails cycling over 500kms past plantations, across waterways and through villages deep in the heart of the Mekong Delta in Vietnam, to and across the dry lands of ancient Cambodia.
I will be cycling between 50km and a 100km each day for 9 days. Each day I will be cycling about 7 hours in tropical temperatures. Unfortunately they don't have nice tarmac roads in Vietnam and Cambodia so I will have the luxury of high quality dirt tracks to cycle on.
How to Sponsor Me
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Plan will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please be generous sponsor me now!
ALL YOUR SPONSERSHIP MONEY GOES DIRECT TO THE CHARITY!!!
(and not to fund the challenge which is being funded entirely by me)
How Am I Preparing For The Challenge?
I am cycling to my work place in Paddington and at weekends going on rides of over 40 miles. In total I am cycling over 120 miles weekly. The weekend cycle rides will get longer as it gets closer to November.

I managed to buy another bike on Sunday so have been cycling into work again since Monday. Planning on going on a 50 mile ride today.
Thank you kindly for all your support.
