I love playing football; it has given me new friends, more confidence and shown me the importance of working together to achieve a shared goal. For this reason I am raising money for Football Beyond Borders for my barmitzvah . Football Beyond Borders is a charity that helps disadvantaged young people at risk of school exclusion to improve their behaviour and work ethic through football related activities, training and counselling to help them reengage with their education to give them a better future. Football Beyond Borders works with young people who are disengaged with their education. We take a young person's passion for football and place it at the heart of their education. It costs £400 for a participant to complete a full year of the FBB Schools programme. This includes at least 70 hours of football-themed learning in the classroom and on the pitch using our FBB Curriculum, as well as 6 remarkable reward trips. In the current funding climate, schools are increasingly struggling to pay the full cost of the programme.
