Story
On the 19th of July 2021, our beautiful angel Sammy's heart stopped beating after almost 25 years of fighting critical medical conditions and disabilities.
Over the years as Sammy battled with various life-limiting conditions and major complications in her health, we always knew our time with her would be short so we tried our best to create special memories as a family. Charlie House gave our family the opportunity to go on holidays together with specially adapted equipment. Some of our best and most precious memories as a family have taken place on these holidays provided by Charlie House. Without their help, we would have never gotten these opportunities.
We, Sammy’s siblings (big sister Kimberley, twin sister Natalie and big brother Steve), along with a group of family and friends are taking on the challenge of climbing Ben Nevis and raising funds in aid of Charlie House. Setting off on Saturday 2nd October, we will trek up the mountain of Ben Nevis and aim to reach the summit, catching the views across the surrounding Scottish Highlands!
All funds raised will help Charlie House to continue to support babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions and complex disabilities across the North-East of Scotland - providing families in need with the ability to create these precious memories just like we were able to.
