Story
I think many of us don't take care of ourselves because we are scared to ask for help and/or scared that the process of self-improvement requires real struggle. We can all make efforts to create real positive change in our lives, but we have to accept that this process requires effort and sometimes pain. I want to personify this idea with this challenge and do something that goes WAY beyond any physical challenge I have ever attempted.
Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world involving prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. This is my contribution to these causes in the currently sensitive climate of Covid-19.
The date the record is to be attempted is Friday, November 27th from 12 pm till 12 pm Saturday the 28th
The basic breakdown is to lift 10 reps at 60kg every minute for 50 minutes of each hour with an hour break every 4 hours.
This should lead to 20 rounds of 500 reps with just over 7 and a half hours rest. leading to 10,000 reps
The record should be broken from 8-9 am on Saturday morning and everything else is just progress to 600,000kg (if everything goes to plan).
