Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

Myself and some friends are running the Greater Manchester 10K run on May 18th 2008.  We have signed on for this run in the memory of our good friend Dawns son Christopher, who was sadly taken from us on the eve of his 21st Birthday on 18th November 2007.

We will be running for Support after Murder Manslaughter Merseyside, a charity that offers support and advise for those affected by homicide. Every volunteer is a victims relative themselves and therefore can offer a very empathetic and unique support service that is not available anywhere else to each and every familiy. They are there at the end of a phone any night or day whilst still going through rebuilding their own lives and dealing with the loss of their own loved one.  They never ask for anything in return, its unconditional support given from the heart to those in need.

Donating through this site is really simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Support After Murder And Manslaughter (Merseyside) will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

SAMM is a charity that is very close to all our hearts and we thank you for this much needed support. Please donate as much or as little as you can afford.  Every penny counts and will go such a long way.

Many many many thanks for your support,

Becky and friends
