Story
In May, I'm cycling 250 miles in just 3 days for Saints Foundation. A charity close to my heart, they use the passion of the club I’ve been part of my whole life to change lives in Southampton every day.
It will be tough! I’ve never done anything of this size and scale before. It’s three days on the saddle, from Liverpool down to Southampton, with nearly 100 miles to cover each day. I’m hoping to make the pain worthwhile by raising funds for the Foundation – pushing myself so they can push their work further and help more people.
Last year I was privileged to be asked to be a Saints Foundation ambassador. I admired their work during my playing days and I’m excited to be able to support them by advocating and spreading the word about the good they do.
Since then, I’ve met some special people who have been supported by the charity, including the amazing Michael. Saints Foundation’s disability football project has had a huge impact on him spanning 20 years. He’s a humble and inspirational man and meeting him – and people like him – has pushed me to take on this challenge.
Please support in any way you can. Every pound in donation will be supporting a brilliant, truly worthwhile cause.
