Hello Everybody,
On Saturday 16th May, myself, together with another 19 Disney Toys colleagues aim to cycle The Cotwolds section of a double Lands End to John O'Groats bike ride to raise funds for The Toy Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital. I have committed to completing the full distance of over 100KM.
Every year 15 toy industry teams join together to cycle from John O'Groats to Lands End (and back again). This year, the Disney Toys team have decided to take up the challenge in support of these great causes.
The funds raised will be split 50/50 between the Toy Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Disney is covering my expenses so all the money will go directly to the charities.
Since its foundation in 1990, The Toy Trust has raised over £2 million for disadvantaged and sick children. 100% of funds raised for the Toy Trust reach the people who need it - every penny goes to children's charities, as all administration costs are covered by the British Toy and Hobby Association or supported by volunteer activity.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is a world-class children's hospital, with the broadest range of paediatric specialists under one roof anywhere in the UK. Each year over 150,000 patients visit the hospital with the most complex, life-threatening or life-limiting conditions.
I hope you are keen to support my efforts and this worthy cause. If so, please make a donation of any amount, it all counts. When I'm totally knackered and ready to quit, I will think of each one of you that decided to support me which is sure to help finish it off!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Toy Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now and wish me good luck!
Many thanks for your support.
Sam
