We train amazing hearing dogs to transform the lives of deaf people

Story

Hi there

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Having spent the best part of 2 decades torturing my knees my kicking balls around (badly), I've decided now that I've hung up my boots, why stop with the knee torture.

I'm taking part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon on 14th September 08. This will be my first attempt to run more than half the length of a football pitch, I'm hoping it wont be my last!

I'm running for The Hearing Dogs charity which trains dogs of all shapes and sizes to alert their deaf owners to many of the day to day noises that most of us take for granted. The majority of dogs trained are selected from resue centres or are unwanted pets. Hearing dogs can make a huge difference to a deaf person. To find out more visit www.hearingdogs.org.uk

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hearing Dogs For Deaf People will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
