Hello all! 

Earlier this summer longtime friends Samara Sargeant and Ella Wilkinson signed up to do the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 10th in support of Refugee Action. The money we raise will go towards providing practical support to the Afghan refugees who began arriving in the UK in early September.

People seeking asylum are not allowed to claim benefits or work in the UK, but can apply to receive asylum support which is set at around only £5.66 per day. Your donations will go towards translation services and providing emergency payments for essentials like food and shelter, as well as access to phones and mobile data. Immigration services are also provided to those seeking asylum.
