Story
Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
It's that time of year again when I usually do something crazy for charity. Not content with studying and taking exams I have decided this year on a little extra challenge of taking part in The Rugby & Coventry Leukaemia Research Bikeathon.
The last time I took part in this event was 9 years ago when I did the 26-mile circuit. This time around and with a little....em sorry a lot of persuasion from a few friends (thanks Wendy and Karensa) I am attempting the 50-mile circuit. The knees are shaking now with the thought of it!
I have set myself a target of raising £500 and with your help I can achieve this. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leukaemia Research gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
I realise that the current economic climate is difficult for many of us, but any sponsorship that you can give me will go a long way and will be truly appreciated by both the charity and myself.
Also any donations of Glucosamine and Ibuprofen before, during and after the event would be truly appreciated - well I'm not getting any younger!!!
So, dig deep and please, please, please sponsor me now!
UPDATE - Up to 44 miles in training now in 4hrs 8mins, so doing really well. Not going to go for the full 50 until the day - need to leave something to go for!
