Story
I am the mum of local school boy, Jack Mylam, who at the age of 8 was diagnosed with Diffuse Pontine Glioma (incurable brain stem tumour). Jack bravely fought his battle for 11 months and very sadly passed away in my arms.
Since my families terribly devastating loss we have set up a charity in Jack's memory
Remembering Jack
The Jack Mylam Foundation is a small local charity which aims to raise awareness of Diffuse Pontine Glioma (DIPG) (Incurable brain stem tumours).
Every year in the UK another 40 chilren are diagnosed with DIPG and we are aiming to raise awareness of this rare cancer.

Who We Are
We are a small charity consisting of parents, grand parents, brothers, sister and friends of the children who have been diagnosed with Diffuse Pontine Glioma. I, sadly lost my beautiful son, Jack, aged 9, to early death after being diagnosed with DIPG. My dreadful experience is the inspiration behind the foundation to find a cure for this terribly devastating disease.
Heading Towards a Cure
This year another 40 children in the UK will be diagnosed with an incurable brain stem tumour.
In the time it takes you to read this another family may have a child diagnosed with this devastating disease.
How many of you have considered what it is like to lose a child? I didn't think it could happen to me.
What We Are Trying To Achieve
The Objectives of the Jack Mylam Foundation are:
1. To bring public awareness of Diffuse Pontine Glioma.
2. To help to find a cure for Diffuse Pontine Glioma brain tumours.
