Story
For those who don’t know me, my name is Samantha Taylor & i have worked for oce/canon for the last 8 years as a service planner in the Birmingham Office. 10 years ago i lost my dad to liver cancer, as you can imagine this was a massive loss to our family and friends, he was diagnosed with this awful disease on the 21st October 2004, and the angels took him away from us on the 21st November 2004, This was very quick and traumatic for us all, thankfully he didn’t suffer for long. My dad was passionate about shooting and traveling but most of all he loved his family and fishing, he would always bring a trout or two home with him, and i would always have the pleasure of gutting them lol !! I have his fishing cap on my pillow and every day when i make our bed i kiss his cap and tell him how much i love and miss him. Over the last 8 years i have done various walks and runs to raise money for cancer research, September of this year 2014 i am going even further, i am going to Peru and taking part in the famous Inca trail hike to Machu Picchu, this is a 4 day hike and will be walking 25 miles over the Andes, this is a massive challenge for me as I’m scared of heights and petrified of spiders , and hope to find some spiritual peace and acceptance from losing my wonderful dad and hopefully through donations to reach a goal of £1000 or possibly more to donate to cancer research, this is where i need your help, we need to raise as much cash as possible to find a cure for this terrible disease, and for the future of our children and their children, every little penny is much appreciated. My Dad my Hero this is for you. Love and miss you x
