Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
At the end of July, I'll be doing the Oxfam Trailwalker Challenge. If you haven't heard of this, there's a bit of background below, but basically our team will be walking 100km, non-stop across the South Downs from London to Brighton. It's the equivalent to 2.5 marathons whilst climbing Ben Nevis and Snowdon. In less than 30 hours. With no sleep. And in the British summer (30C heat or freezing rain, who knows?).
As you may have guessed I'm not doing this for fun - we're walking in aid of Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust. So please sponsor me! Your donation will go to two charities that do an incredible amount to help people a lot worse off than us, and will help spur me on when my feet are covered in blisters!
THANK YOU
Sam
Backkground Blurb:
Trailwalker was originally started by the Queen's Gurkha Signals Regiment over 30 years ago as a training exercise to test soldiers' stamina and teamwork skills. The challenge is to complete the 100km Trailwalker trail, across the South Downs, in under 30 hours in teams of four. Is it tough? Of course. In 2012, only 50% finished in their teams of four. Trailwalker is recognised as one of the toughest team charity events in the world.
