I've had my own scare with ovarian cancer because I have the BRCA2 gene. Ovarian Cancer Action is a small charity that supports women like me, pushing for more research. If it weren't for the breakthroughs in modern medicine, I would not have known of my high risk of ovarian cancer, and I would not have been able to do something about it. I am grateful for the care I received at University College Hospital in London, and for the clever men and women who dedicate their lives to medical research. This walk is my way of showing my gratitude and also supporting other women.
