I'm attempting to swim a mile along the River Thames on Sunday 10th July in memory of my amazing friend Jenny who died of Lymphoma on Christmas Eve 2021. 

Jenny died at the prime of her life. She was planning to retire and spend time travelling with Paul but cancer took her before she had the chance.

I chose The Lymphoma Research Trust because they fund research and clinical trials into the treatment and cure of patients with Lymphoma. If I can help one person avoid the pain of losing a beloved friend it'll be worth it.

I've only been open water swimming once. But I have a good coach and support network to help me train and complete the event. And I'll have Jen on my shoulder spurring me on (although I hope she puts the effort in else we'll sink..)
