It’s all getting a little real now and I’m officially running the London Marathon 2019! 

I’ve been lucky enough to secure a place raising money to support the amazing work The Bone Cancer Reseach Trust do!!! They are a leading charity dedicated to fighting the primary cause of bone cancer, with their mission to save lives and improve outcomes for those affected by it. Unfortunately primary bone cancer usually effects children and elderly people and on average 12 people every week are diagnosed - which is really scary.

Alex my reason why I'm doing this....

It's easy to be inspired by this incredible friend of mine Alex and his positive outlook on life injecting energy to those around him. He put up a brave and challenge battle against Bone Cancer and truly lived his life to the max. I've been lucky enough to run some half marathons in the past in memory of Alex but I'm now taking the plunge and running the London Marathon which will be incredibly challenging for me. Over the coming months I'm dedicating myself to a hard training plan and no drinking  (which for those of you know me well, know  that will be another challenge in itself!) to get myself as fit as possible and make Alex proud.

Please do support me as I have a lot of money to raise and hope you can all give generously to an amazing charity. Bone Cancer Research Trust receive absolutely no government funding, and really do need all the help they can get.  

For as little as £4 you will provide a child with an interactive storybook to guide them through their treatment and recovery. With £30 you could find a whole hour of laboratory time for their researchers. All the way up to £400 which is enough to fund a junior doctor to undertake a placement in specialist treatment for primary Bone Cancer.
