St Anns Hospice is very dear to my heart, as the nurses in the hospice looked after my Aunty before she lost her long battle with cancer.  The staff took really good care of her, allowed her to be creative in her last few months and they really do need all the support they can get, as government funding is minimal and they rely on donations.

To get me through the training, I have taken adult swimming lessons, now given up alcohol (until I've done it and then it's a large G&L / Pimms or whatever's waiting for me at the finish line) and spent hours in research, training and swimming in Salford Quays (which is not pleasant!!).
