I have decided to take on this challenge as my nan has been living with this awful disease since her early 70s. She is now 81 and still fighting strong 🙏🏼 we have highs, lows, laughs and cry’s!! It doesn’t just affect the person but everyone around them. It is sad to see an extremely strong woman who brought up 4 children including my mum, not remember if she has had her breakfast but can remember what she wore to a wedding in 1957. I never knew about this illness before and lucky for my nan she has her husband (my grandad) and also her family to support her. It’s the people who do not have this support and family I feel the most for. It’s such a confusing illness and having no one must be very hard when you can’t even remember who you are yourself. My aim is to have my nan at the finish line waiting for me to finish (in a good time I hope) as she it too much of a diva to be waiting around 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 she won’t remember it after 5 minutes and will probably keep asking why she is there and who she is waiting for 100s of times!!! Like I said highs and lows ❤️ please help me and donate whatever possible. This can happen to anyone and is a very sad, cruel and destroying disease. Thank you for reading my story 😘
