Story
As someone who usually has 1-2 migraines a week and daily headaches, I have signed up to March for Migraine to raise awareness and funds for the only research and support charity for people affected by migraine in the UK.
I’ve always had headaches since I can remember and started getting migraines in uni, but 5 years ago they got worse and I was diagnosed with episodic migraine and chronic daily migraine. I’ve spent the last few years trying to find medication that will help prevent and treat these attacks.
I will be walking 190,000 steps in March because that’s the number of migraine attacks that happen in the UK every day.
There’s so much we don’t know about migraines - I still have no idea what causes mine. Migraines are not just a headache! They’re so much worse and my symptoms also include dizziness and nausea, and a whole lot of brain fog.
As I get daily headaches, walking 190,000 steps is gonna be the last thing I feel like doing a lot of the time but I will persevere for the cause, so please donate what you can. You can read more about the Migraine Trust below.
