Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Marsh Community Centre in Lancaster is a charity that has been running for the past 11 years providing the whole community with a range of services on a limited budget. The centre is based in one of the top 20% of areas of deprivation in the country. As a small charity it has become increasingly difficult to gain funding which means that the great work done at the centre is consistently in jeopardy.

My goal is to raise £150,000 which would enable the centre to employ staff on three year contracts, as opposed to their current year by year contracts. This would mean that the services the centre provides would be more sustainable and provide the people who use the building with a stability of services. This would also allow much needed repairs in the building to take place.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
